WAY TOO LONG....

VISIT FROM THE TOOTH FAIRY!!

Well... it happened!! After weeks of a VERY loose tooth, Braden lost one tonight. He has been eating all his food on the side of his mouth to avoid the possibility of losing it... Tonight while brushing his teeth it happened... Out it came.. and he was so proud. I have to say though, Noah did not share in the excitement. His response. "I do NOT want a fairy coming in my room!"

TEE-BALL HIGHLIGHTS

Hard to believe it but the teeball season has ended.... We had the opportunity to make many new friends with the coaches and Braden with the players. Braden will be moving up in the league next year and playing with many of the same kids! One of his good buddies now-- "Chaney". Got love the name!! :-)

Let's see... the updates are few and far between BUT...

Braden- had a rough time with his asthma last week but after a course of steriods he is doing MUCH better. Cameron goes for his ENT appointment on Monday so I can update everyone after. For now, he has had a hearing test that showed some loss but they want this repeated on Monday prior to the consult.

We went to a wonderful birthday party last weekend at the Lutherville Firestation-- I will be posting some pics- got some great ones of Noah wearing the fireman's jacket!! Braden has his opening tee-ball game!! As for me... well.. I have officially started another round of P90X (I'm throwing in a little Insanity as well)... I figure 3 kids, full time job and photography on the side just isn't enoough.. Why not try to do crazy workouts too??!! :-)

So.. it has happened again... Poor Cameron has yet another ear infection. (He JUST finished his 10 day course of abx this past Sunday..) Needless to say they want him to see the ENT within the next 2 weeks.

Hanging with Braden

Braden and I took advantage of having a day to ourselves.. he remains on spring break all week and Cameron and Noah are in day care. We had a nice lunch and headed to Federal Hill Park to play for awhile.

Next we walked down to the Inner Harbor and sat by the water... (Braden was cute and asked if it was the ocean!)

IT'S TEE BALL TIME!

Tee ball officially started tonight- it was Braden's first practice of the year and he did great! We are looking forward to a fun season. He is on the Durham Bulls this year- If anyone wants to join us for a game let me know and I will send you the schedule.

Cameron's 18 month Checkup

Well, what can I say.. first Cameron is growing like a weed.. It is hard to believe that my baby is becoming a "Little Boy." He is such a joy.. always smiles.. sleeps great.. But he does have a spunky side too and we love watching his personality develop. On the health front he weighs 26lbs 13oz and is 33inches tall . One thing we have been battling over the past 6 months are ear infections. Shocker.. poor little man had another one.. 10 day course of Omniceft was started today.. We are still waiting to see if the warm weather will help things.. if not.. I fear tubes may be in the future. But hey.. at least we have a great ENT!

Trip to Western Maryland

Looks like we picked the perfect day to drive back home... during a blizzard! Lucky for us we made it just before they closed Interstate 68!! This is a picture a few miles from Midland... YIKES

The weekend was quite full... We got to see Erin, Rich and Reese....

Trip Back Home..

It was a weekend of both ends of the life spectrum. Got to photograph my friend Erin's baby girl... and the next day attended the funeral of my Uncle Jim...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

How fast the years seem to be going now... I remember when I was little when a year seemed like FOREVER.. now.. in the blink of an eye we have completed another one.

My blogging has not been great and for that I am sorry.. I will try to update it more this year. my resolution!

It has been a crazy year-- I didn't even get a chance to send out Christmas cards and for me that is unusual.

So- with that, I will give you all a recap of the Chaney Family 2009!

Cameron-

It was a year to celebrate many of his "firsts"... saying DADA and MAMA... his first foods...teeth

crawling..sitting..

standing...cruising...

He got to have his first plane ride in March when he and I flew to FL to visit my friend Meredith. That in itself was full of more firsts... (toes in the sand and water)...

We celebrated his first birthday on Sept 23!!

Another big event was him taking some of his first steps for the first time on Christmas day surrounded by his family! He is now on the move.. watch out world!!!

Noah- he offically became potty trained last January and what a great thing that was!! Only 1 left in diapers!

2009 was also the year of the mohawk for Noah.. well.. he called it his HO-HAWK.

A trip to the Aquarium sparked an interest in sharks and marine life. He reads his shark books everyday and can identify more kind of sharks than I can (which if you know me is ALOT.. I LOVE SHARKS TOO!)

On May 8th we celebrated with Noah as he turned 3!

He was diagnosed with sleep apnea in August and underwent his Tonsillectomy back in Oct. After a rough (ok VERY rough recovery due to allergic reactions, HINI, etc) he is doing great. In fact, Noah is a very different little boy. He personality and expressions crack us up on a daily basis...

Braden- What a big year for Braden. The spring began with Braden's first time playing tee-ball. The season started off with a trip to see the Frederick Keys play...

He had so much fun playing and many times looked like a mini-Sean out there.. We are looking forward to him playing again this year.

June brought about his end to Happy Acres where he spent his last 2 years. Graduation Day was a proud day for all of us..

September came quickly and it was his very first day of Kindergarten! With tears we sent him off to "big school"..

December marked another birthday for Braden. 6 years old now!!!

Sean and I have been kept quite busy between the boys and our own adventures. Sean continues to work for himself and I am still at the University of Maryland as a Clinical Trial Analyst. I decided to follow through on a passion of mine in May and I started my own photography business. Thank you to my sister in law Nikki for help with the name, and to my friend Melissa for the logo:

Sean continues to play softball every spring and loves it.

Also with spring came our wedding anniversary.. 7 years!!!!

In the late fall we were lucky enough to go to another Raven's game thanks to some of our close friends. It was a bit rainy (thus the fashionable ponchos) but it cleared and the Ravens WON!

I, on the quest for to regain my pre-baby body completed P90X. I was able to get not only back into my wedding dress but it was a little big!! I had an opportunity to pose for a trash the dress session this year. It was so much fun!! AND.. no.. the dress isn't really trashed.

As a family we took many memorable trips including ones to Midland to visit Mattie and Re-Re

Pittsburgh to spend the 4th of July with Mike and Nikki (which I hope becomes a tradition), trip to Mt Airy to visit Grammy and Pop Pop, Hershey Park for Christmas in Hershey, hanging out with all our friends and family....

I hope that 2010 is an even better year and brings each of you health and happiness. Thank you to all my faithful blog followers...

I just wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciated all the help after Noah's surgery... From watching Noah during the day to phone calls and cards. Everyone was so thoughtful!! Noah is doing wonderful! He has regained his appetite and in fact.. seems to be making up for lost time. (he lost 6lbs).. His personally is different.. still a bit "spunky"... but at least now he is well rested. For the first time he actually let me take some pictures of him.. Instead of running away.. he looked at me and said. "sure Mommy.. you can take my picture!"

Tonsil Saga

I thought that I would have an opportunity to sit down and update my blog.. catch everyone up on the past few weeks worth of pictures. I promise they will come.. it just will be awhile longer.

Noah had his tonsils and adenoids out this past Wednesday-- I thought he did a great job- they let me go back into the OR with him until he was asleep-- it was hard to watch but I was happy to be with him. He went under great- no tears or anything. Our saga began with a phone call while on the way home from the hospital. Turns out there was a carbon monoxide leak at our daycare provider's house. My mom was on her way to pick up Cameron. After the EMTs checked everyone out, Cameron and Mom returned home. Ms Dawn and the kids were all ok-- turned out to be a very large bird’s nest in the chimney.

Thursday- Mom and I were home to care for Noah. He slept on and off but the hard part was trying to get him to take his meds (Tylenol with Codeine and Clindamycin).. This proved to be quite challenging and so the ENT suggested we use Pixy Stix in the meds. PERFECT. They seemed to go down better. We noticed that Noah had a pretty bad cough in the days following surgery. I was thinking anesthesia, dry throat, etc. Stay tuned for this...

Friday- Noah seems to be a bit more alert although his appetite was still gone. He did take sips of fluids to remain hydrated so that is all I can ask of him. About 2pm I received a call from Ms Dawn. It seems as if one of the children in Noah's daycare tested positive for H1N1 and now 2 others were sent home sick. Great.. I need this like I need a hole in my head. Swine watch has begun... This is Noah on post op day 2

Saturday- Everyone seems good... My Mom headed back home (thank you for all your help with the boys). Sean and I spent the day catching up on things while Noah did lots of coloring and watching movies (CARS to be exact. In fact, it was the 18th showing since Wednesday).

Sunday- Noah woke up and began spiking high fevers. After speaking to the ENT he suggested that I call my Pediatrician because it did not seem related to surgery. I talked to my pediatrician and with all his symptoms and his recent exposure they are saying this is probable H1N1. They aren't swabbing anyone so this will not be totally confirmed but I agree it seemly likely. He still has a cough but it actually seems to be getting better. We are wondering if he is more on the end of the H1N1 flu... The rest of us are still ok.. no curly tails or oinking here...

10:15pm- I am getting ready to head to bed last night- Noah was asleep on the couch and I went over to him to take a peak.. To my shock there he was... hives all over his arms, face, and neck. I rolled his head towards me and almost screamed.... His lips were 5 times there normal size and his eyes were almost swollen shut.. I grabbed the Benadryl, rental car keys (my car is in the shop after being hit by an 85 yr old woman who blamed me for everything including the Holocaust... but that is another story).. Off to the ER we went. We arrived and he was getting worse.. They took him back immediately and gave him some epi, steroids, and Benadryl. He eventually fell asleep and we watched as he improved.

Monday- I am here with him again... his lips as you can see are still quite large but the rest of his face looks 100 times better. We are doing Benadryl every 6 hours and continuing the Orapred taper. The verdict.. an allergice reaction to Codeine or Clindamycin.. The mystery remains.. I am waiting on my Epi Pen to be filled right now..

I am in need of a vacation and a stiff drink... or maybe a good writer to help me compose the book that is my life..

Just a quick update since my last posting...

Cameron- turned 1 and is now saying Mama, Dada, ball, and baby..

Noah- was officially diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea and will undergo a Tonsillectomy this coming Wednesday

Braden- is now recovered from a wicked virus and an ear infection that led to a ruptured eardrum. He loves Kindergarten and looks forward to going...

I will home with Noah for a week as he recovers so I will be updating the blog and posting TONS of new pictures!

Labor Day Weekend!

Friday- Needless to say it started with a bang.. I was happy to get out of work 2 hours early-- a great start to my labor day weekend... WRONG... Braden ended up having a terrible asthma attack and we spent all evening in the ER. In addition to the asthma he had the whole side of his left cheek swell up. He had been complaining that his tooth hurt (I looked in his mouth and he is getting his permanet molars). At first they were concerned that the swelling and breathing issues may be contributed to something he ate. ( As soon as he started complaining that his throat was tight I became nervous too!) He did great-- a few nebs, benadryl, IV and blood work later- we were discharged- never really sure of what happened.

Saturday morning Braden seemed much better. I took this picture and you can see there is still some swelling but NOTHING like the night before

Saturday evening Sean and I headed to his friend's house for an end of summer party- It was nice to catch up with everyone and have an adult night out.

Sunday we spent the afternoon in Mt Airy at Grammie and Pop Pop's house for a cookout and crabs. The kids had so much fun running, playing and blowing bubbles--

Noel and I had some fun taking pics of each other-- I am trying to be in front of the camera more these days!!

Labor Day weekend ended with a visit from Erin-- She is expecting her first baby in early Jan! It was great to finally catch up.

All I Really Need To KnowAbout How To Live and What To Do And How To Be, I learned in Kindergarten.

Share everything.

Everything you need to know is there somewhere.

The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation, ecology, and politics and the sane living.Think of what a better world it would be if we all, the whole world, had cookies and milk about 3 o'clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankets for a nap. Or we had a basic policy in our nation and other nations to always put things back where we found them and clean up our own messes. And it is still true; no matter how old you are, when you go out in the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together.

Braden started Kindergarten today- I still can't believe it- seems like just yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital... now look at him... walking towards the doors that seem so big... a new adventure begins.

Better Late Than Never....

This first picture is a sign that we passed a few miles before arriving-- Now I know what it means but I would love to hear what other people think of this!!

The first day we headed to the Living Treasures Park-- followed by a trip to the Famous Primanti Bros.. I had to try one of these sandwichs with fries and coleslaw. It was Yummy!

Later that evening we lit some fireworks... and trust me... Nikki LOVES them!!

The second day was the 4th of July... Nikki and I took the kids to the playground for awhile.. afterward I got some pics with Cameron and Braden while Noah took a quick nap..

We have been so busy lately so I am sorry for the lack of posts. The business is going great-- had several photo shoots including on at Miss Dawn's Day Care. Braden, Noah and Cameron are great. Braden is getting ready for his last weeks before school begins... Noah will be having his sleep apnea study on August 2nd... Cameron got another tooth (up to 5 now)!!

We took the boys to the Mt Airy Carnival last night.. It has become a tradition-- we go every year!! Thanks Grammy and Pop Pop for the tickets!!!!

9 Months Old

Cameron continues to get bigger and bigger.. We will be going for his 9 month check-up next week- I will update everyone on his latest stats. He continues to try to crawl (more like rocking on all 4s) He has been pretty fussy lately so I believe some more teeth are coming through. The boys just love him to pieces and they are excited to be able to "play" with him more.

Friday Evening with Family

After work we headed over to Ellicot City to see Ms. Barbara and Mr Bob, Mike, Nikki, Matt, Kathy and the girls. It was a great time.. everyone enjoyed crabs and the kids had fun playing. M.A.C. Photography

It is official. I have a photography business-- appropriately named (My initials as well as a nickname for my Dad). I have always loved taking pictures... even with my "disposable camera".

I decided to use this talent not to take pictures... but to forever preserve those precious moments for others. I will keep everyone posted once I get my blog up and going.

Cameron is 8 months old today...

Time is flying!! Cameron is getting bigger each day! He continues to be the most pleasant baby- He is so easy going which makes it even easier with 3 boys! He now has 4 teeth (2 on top, 2 on bottom), he is getting closer to crawling, and is loving all the varieties of foods we are giving him. He is a great sleeper (thanks to sleep training.. hmm.. maybe I should write a book or offer to sleep train babies.. who know, I could end up on Oprah!) He now sleeps from 6:30pm until 6:30am (7:30-8am on weekends)

My cousin Paula stopped by the house today with her husband Rick and their little boy, Ethan. The boys all had fun running in the yard and trying to climb trees. I of course took TONS of pictures.

Memorial Day Weekend

Saturday started off early with the boys doing one of their favorite things.. Collecting rocks with Mattie and throwing them into the water off the bridge... (into the "Crick" for those Western Marylanders reading this). Sean, Cameron and I watched and enjoyed the warm weather.

Next Uncle Greg and Aunt Heidi stopped by to drop off the power washer... It was the first time they met Cameron. Here is Cameron with Aunt Heidi.

We took advantage of the beautiful evening and took the boys to Northwest Regional Park. Braden and Sean hit some balls and then the boys headed to the swings. Cameron just watched and laughed-- all was great until it was time to leave... MELTDOWN CITY..
